OPEN 501R ADSL router has passed and complies with Telstra's IP1149
specification for interoperability of CPE with the Telstra ADSL network.

The 501R will work
best with Telstra DSLAMs when set to "ANSI (full rate)". Request DSLAMs only
support G.DMT
Both PPP over
Ethernet LLC/SNAP encapsulation and PPP over ATM VCMUX encapsulation are in
use in Australia. You should consult your ADSL provider for the correct type
to use on your connection.
There are a number
of Internet Service Providers (ISP) able to offer ADSL service in Australia.
Please check with your local ISP or existing ISP if they can provide an ADSL
account. Your ISP will provide you with a user name and password.
VPI is 0, VCI
is 100. This is entered under MAIN/QC/VC/VC1 as 0/100
