Introduction
OPEN Networks Pty Ltd (“OPEN Networks ”) is obliged to comply with the requirements of both the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (Cth) and the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Victoria).
Collection of Information
OPEN may only collect personal information from individuals (and this includes customers, potential customers and trade creditors) for the following purposes:

Wherever possible, we will obtain personal information about an individual from that individual personally. This does not preclude us, however, from obtaining an ASIC company search, business name search or other publicly available search about an individual or company.
Use and Disclosure
We may disclose information about an individual for the purposes of assessing their credit worthiness.
There maybe times where we are legally required to provide previously collected personal information to a law enforcement authority or other Commonwealth or State organisation.
Data Quality
OPEN will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it collects is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
Data Security
Under the National Privacy Principles, OPEN must take reasonable steps to protect personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
OPEN takes this obligation very seriously, and OPEN staff will not discuss or disclose personal information except in the ordinary course of business and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. All information must be kept physically secure.
Access and Correction
You have the right to access and require correction of your own personal information. This includes the correction of spelling of names, telephone numbers and other contact details, as well as information obtained in the course of conducting appropriate checks for credit worthiness.
Identifiers
OPEN may not use Commonwealth Government identification systems, such as tax file numbers, as part of a de facto identification system. Personal information will be catalogued and indexed by other means, such as an alphabetical listing of individuals.
Anonymity
You have a right to deal with OPEN anonymously, where it is practical.
