iConnectDial facilitates the turn-up of a Dial-up service including both desktop and analogue modem configuration. The iConnectDial application automatically starts from the CD. It auto-discovers the user’s environment and configures the web browser and email client applications.

iConnectDial has the flexibility to cater for:
Existing pre-paid customers are given the option to connect to the ISP to top up their accounts or to specify a username and password previously obtained to reconfigure their service. New customers can connect to the ISP (via the signup server) to sign up and obtain a valid username and password.
iConnectDial handles communication with the ISP signup server and can process standard ‘.inf’ files. The following URLs are required for the ISP signup server:

The user’s email client is configured with the required ISP settings including:
News Services
The news service is configured in the supported email application for the user’s operating system and set according to the ISP settings. These settings include a list of Host names or IP addresses.
Configure Security
iConnectDial checks Windows XP firewall settings where appropriate and modifies these to ensure the dial-up connection can operate. File and Printer sharing via the dial-up connection is automatically disabled and the user is notified.
Dial-Up Connection
iConnectDial creates the ISP dial-up connection. iConnectDial will launch its own browser to connect the user to the ISP’s URL, using the ISP Dial-Up Phone Number or the ISP Signup Phone Number.
