iConnectMonitor is a desktop support and monitoring tool that detects and reports the health and configuration of Broadband or dial-up connections. It monitors the status of the Internet connection, notifies the customer of any errors and displays the results to the user. Once notified, iConnectMonitor gives the user the opportunity to run diagnostic tests to attempt to rectify the problem.
iConnectMonitor, is supplied on CD and works in conjunction with iConnectDSL and iConnectDial.
Detect and Repair Problems iConnectMonitor diagnoses and attempts to self-repair Internet connection problems on the user’s computer, including but not limited to:
In monitoring the computer’s settings, iConnectMonitor compares against the values set during the iConnectDSL or iConnectDial installation.
The degree of automatic system monitoring is user configurable. A status check is run whenever a customer attempts to connect to the Internet, indicating whether connection is successfully operating.
Monitor Connection Status iConnectMonitor monitors the Internet connection providing a status indicator. Whenever a serious connection error is detected, the user can click into iConnectMonitor screens to view details and run diagnostic tools.
Error and information screens are clearly identified with logical cause codes that are compatible with iConnectAssist.
Diagnostic Tools and System Information iConnectMonitor provides access to diagnostics tools and system information across all supported operating systems, and provides diagnosis independent of the modem type. Access is specifically designed to be easy to navigate and simplifies help-desk instructions. Tools include:
System Information System information relevant to diagnosing connection problems is collated into a single, easy to navigate report that is pre-formatted for printing or email.
