1. Why am I getting slow ftp upload speeds?

This may be experienced when the OPEN524R is connected to the Internet with an NT1 PLUS II with firmware version 3.500.

Enter the 524R Web interface and go to -> SETUP WIZARD -> MODEM SETTINGS. Under the modem string settings , change the "Baudrate Settings:” to “115200bps (28.8K/33/6K/56K modem or ISDN TA)" (see below example).

2. The DHCP server delivers the incorrect default gateway to clients

This may be experienced when the OPEN524R with firmware A0.03 (15/09/2004) is configured for an address other than the default 192.168.2.1.
