The OPEN824RLW complies with the industry standard SIP protocol to ensure interoperability with SIP devices and major VoIP gateways. In addition, the OPEN824RLW supports call waiting, silence suppression, voice activity detection, line echo cancellation and caller ID.

With integrated 802.11g Wireless Access Point, the OPEN824RLW offers quick and easy access to wireless networks, providing user mobility. The OPEN824RLW offers up to 54 Mbps while backwards compatibility with 802.11b equipment. WPA and WEP features provide data protection and wireless access control.

The OPEN824RLW integrates an additional phone port for inbound and outbound calls via PSTN, enabling users to receive phone calls from the PSTN network while using a VoIP service at the same time. In addition, the OPEN824RLW automatically reverts to lifeline POTS to provide phone services during power outage or ADSL connection disruptions.
